How complete is EveryShaadi?
Nobody has a full list of the world's wedding traditions. Many have never been written down, and every village and family has its own. So EveryShaadi shows its working.
Where the list comes from
Every item that Wikidata classes as a wedding, wedding tradition, wedding dress, wedding ring, wedding cake, wedding song, wedding dance, bridal custom, marriage custom, betrothal, engagement, matchmaking, dowry, bride price, henna night, bachelor or hen party or wedding venue, and that has an English Wikipedia article; every article under Wikipedia's categories for weddings by country, wedding traditions, wedding clothing, wedding food, wedding music and marriage customs; and our own list of well-known wedding traditions, balanced across countries and communities so no one crowds out the rest.
