For AI agents and developers
Everything on EveryShaadi can be read by software. It is public and read-only, and every answer carries the address of the page it came from so it can be cited.
MCP server
Point any MCP client at https://everyshaadi.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). No key is needed. Tools: search_traditions, get_tradition, list_countries, get_country, list_cities, get_city, list_categories, list_by_category, list_by_stage, list_concepts, get_concept, compare_concept, list_by_faith, list_by_symbol, traditions_today, calendar_ahead, random_tradition, get_glossary_term, latest_news, site_stats, site_info.
{ "mcpServers": { "everyshaadi": { "type": "http", "url": "https://everyshaadi.com/mcp" } } }
JSON API
The same tools answer plain HTTP: GET https://everyshaadi.com/api/v1/<tool>?name=value. For example /api/v1/get_tradition?slug=saptapadi, /api/v1/list_by_stage?stage=ceremony&limit=20, /api/v1/compare_concept?concept=bride-price or /api/v1/traditions_today. The list of tools with their parameters is at /api/v1/tools.
Live
/api/live returns today's date, the wedding calendar days on now, the holidays on this date, the wedding clock (the usual hour for each stage in each country), and a pick of the day, as JSON, cached for ten minutes.
For publication networks
/api/v1/site_stats returns counts for this publication. ClearTrust's network tools (the CPN portal, Footfall, Yieldo and Assay) read it.
Limits
90 calls a minute without a key. For more, ask for a key at everyshaadi@cleartrust.cc and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
For crawlers
llms.txt, llms-full.txt, sitemap.xml and an RSS feed of the wedding tradition of the day and new pages. AI crawlers are welcome in robots.txt.
