About Qingming
Qingming, held in the first days of April, is the day families visit and clean the graves of their ancestors and make offerings. Most Chinese families do not choose it for a wedding or a betrothal, and wedding halls see a lull. It falls on 4 or 5 April, and is a public holiday in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and the days around it are often busy with travel.
