Brautentfuhrung
A German prank in which friends spirit away the bride after the wedding and the groom must find her and pay the bill.

Brautentfuhrung is a mock theft of the bride by friends, held at the reception in Germany and Austria. They take her out to a few bars, with her or without her consent in the fun, and the groom must search for her, perhaps with clues, and in the end pay for all the drinks. It is a play and a game, and not related to real abduction or to forced marriage, which are crimes. If the bride cannot be traced the best man may help. Some couples ask guests not to do it.
