Hui men, returning to the door, is the visit that a Chinese bride and groom make to the bride's parents' home after the wedding, traditionally on the third day, or the first or ninth day in some regions. They bring gifts, including food, tea and fruit, and are given a meal. The bride's family receives the groom as a son-in-law, and he is sometimes shown to the relatives. It shows the bride that she may return to her parents' home, and it is still observed in China and in Chinese communities abroad.
