Nikoh toy, the wedding of the nikoh, is the Uzbek wedding celebration, held after the religious marriage. It is a party at the groom's and the bride's houses or in a large hall, with plov cooked in cauldrons by a specialist, tea, sweets and music. Before it comes the fotiha, the agreement of the families, and on arrival the bride greets her husband's relatives in the kelin salom. The wedding season is usually autumn, after the harvest, and the government has issued rules limiting spending and the guest list.
